During the impact of Hurricane Milton, a tree fell on a single-story home in Tampa, Florida, prompting a 911 call. The incident occurred in the 1700 block of E. Wood St., where 15 people, including children, were inside.

Tampa Police officers, who were nearby and taking shelter from the storm, quickly responded to the emergency. They arrived at the scene as soon as there was a pause in the storm's intensity.

The officers successfully evacuated all occupants from the damaged home and transported them to a nearby shelter. One officer ensured that the home's main power supply was turned off before leaving.

Chief Lee Bercaw commented on the situation: "Every member of this department is committed to the safety of our community. The swift actions taken by these officers during a break in the storm bands provided this family with a sense of safety in a time of fear and uncertainty."
