Tampa, Florida - The City of Tampa has recently unveiled its new interactive online tool, the Economic Dashboard, providing stakeholders with real-time insights into the region's economy. Mayor Jane Castor expressed the city's excitement about the launch, emphasizing the tool's significance in decision-making processes. She stated, "From our strengths to our weaknesses -- that is what we want our new Economic Dashboard to show."

The Economic Dashboard aims to offer a comprehensive view of Tampa's economic landscape, showcasing data sourced from various reputable sources. Nicole Travis, Tampa’s Development and Economic Opportunity Administrator, highlighted the importance of transparency in presenting the city's economic status. She remarked, “Our city’s remarkable evolution inevitably presents complex challenges.”

The dashboard integrates data from nine reliable sources, including the Census Bureau and the Bureau of Labor Statistics, to provide a detailed overview of Tampa's economic indicators. From population demographics to consumer spending patterns, the tool offers a holistic perspective on the city's economic health.

Tampa's economic growth and diversification, fueled by collaborative efforts between the public and private sectors, have garnered national and international recognition. The city's continuous presence in prestigious rankings, such as TIME Magazine's World's Greatest Cities, reflects its prominence on the global stage.

Individuals interested in exploring Tampa's Economic Dashboard can access the tool for free via tampa.gov/economy. The resource is designed to assist not only local government officials but also business organizations, foundations, and community groups in understanding and leveraging Tampa's evolving economy.
