The University of Tampa issued the following announcement on Jan. 24.
The TECO Energy Center for Leadership, part of The University of Tampa Sykes College of Business, will host its 2022 Leadership Summit on Feb. 16. The event will be held in the Crescent Club on the 9th floor of the Vaughn Center on campus. Masks are required indoors.
The summit, titled “Leadership: It’s a Marathon, Not a Sprint,” will feature Meb Keflezighi as the keynote speaker. Keflezighi is the first person in history to win both the Boston and New York City marathons, as well as an Olympic marathon medal. He is the author of 26 Marathons: What I Learned About Faith, Identity, Running and Life from My Marathon Career.
The summit will also include a panel discussion with Bill Goede, president of Tampa Bay Bank of America; John Bell, CEO of the Tampa Theater; and Suzanne Perry, founder and owner of Datz and Dough.
Doors will open at 7:15 a.m., and the event will start at 8 a.m. with a presentation by Keflezighi. It will continue with a leadership panel discussion at 9 a.m. From 10:45 a.m. until noon, there will be a roundtable where hot topic discussions will take place.
General admission is $99, and sponsorship of a table of six is $500. The event is free to registered students, faculty and staff. As seating is limited, reservations are required at ut.edu/cfl/leadershipsummit/.
