UT to Host Leadership Speaker Series on Oct. 13

The University of Tampa issued the following annoucement on Sept. 23.

The TECO Energy Center for Leadership, part of the Sykes College of Business at The University of Tampa, is proud to present the Fall 2021 Leadership Speaker Series on Wednesday, Oct. 13, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. The event, “Knowing Who You Are: The Role Culture Plays in Unifying the Organization,” will be held in the Crescent Club on the 9 th floor of the Vaughn Center.

The speaker is Bob Johnston, chairman of the board and CEO of Front Burner, a restaurant management company headquartered in Tampa. Front Burner is affiliated with dynamic and niche-specific brands including Melting Pot, the premier fondue restaurant franchise with more than 95 locations in the U.S. and Canada. Johnston started his first job with Melting Pot at age 14 and now oversees the brand along with Melting Pot Social and Oronzo Honest Italian.

The Leadership Speaker Series is a biannual speaker event dedicated to bringing in outstanding leaders from the private, government and nonprofit sectors to discuss business topics and corporate strategies with students, faculty, alumni and members of the community. Leaders candidly share their experiences, discuss challenges that have impacted their leadership development and provide advice to aspiring leaders.

The event is free to registered guests. RSVP at ut.edu/cfl/speakerseries/ as seating is limited. Masks are required indoors at all times. Photography or recording during the event will not be allowed.
