The University of South Florida men’s basketball team will continue its American Conference schedule on Saturday night, traveling to Philadelphia to face Temple University. The game is set for 8 p.m. ET.
South Florida enters the matchup with a 14–7 overall record and a 6-2 mark in conference play. The Bulls currently hold a KenPom rating of 69, BPI of 68, and NET ranking of 61. Temple stands at 13-8 overall and 5-3 in the conference, with lower rankings: KenPom at 152, BPI at 128, and NET at 158.
Statistically, South Florida leads the American Athletic Conference in several categories, including points per game (90.1), combined team rebounds per game (43.6), offensive rebounds (15.8), and assists (17.52). Temple ranks sixth in the conference for points per game with an average of 75.2.
This meeting marks the 26th time South Florida and Temple have played each other. Their last encounter was on February 26, 2025, when Temple edged out South Florida by two points.
South Florida comes into this contest after a recent win over Tulane, defeating them 97-83 on Wednesday night to extend their winning streak to three games.

Bryan Hodgson was named head coach of South Florida men’s basketball on March 24, 2025. Hodgson previously coached Arkansas State to consecutive seasons with more than twenty wins and led them to their first postseason appearance since 1999 during his tenure there.
South Florida’s program is entering its fifty-fifth season in the upcoming year. The team won the American Athletic Conference regular season championship in the previous year and has made thirteen postseason appearances throughout its history—including three NCAA Tournaments and nine NITs—and captured a CBI championship in 2019. Three former players—Chucky Atkins, Charlie Bradley, and Rodenko Dobras—have had their jerseys retired as members of the USF Athletic Hall of Fame. Home games are played at the Yuengling Center on campus.
