The University of South Florida beach volleyball team will travel to Boise, Idaho, for the Boise State Beach Bash on April 10 and 11. The Bulls, holding an 18-6 record, are set to compete against several strong opponents in their last road trip of the regular season.
This tournament is significant as it presents South Florida with the opportunity to face two ranked teams ahead of postseason play. The matches are expected to test the team’s abilities and provide valuable experience before concluding their regular schedule.
South Florida will begin play on Friday against Washington, a team currently receiving votes in national polls. Later that day, they will take on #19-ranked Boise State. On Saturday, the Bulls are scheduled to meet #11 Grand Canyon and finish the weekend facing Florida International University (FIU). Each dual match consists of five pairs competing simultaneously; whichever program wins at least three out of five matches secures victory in that round.
The Bulls’ participation in this event marks their final away games before returning home. This year is also notable as South Florida Beach Volleyball joined Conference USA on July 1, 2025. Pri Piantadosi-Lima was named as South Florida’s first-ever beach volleyball head coach on June 6, 2023. She has also served as head coach for USAV Beach and its national team development program and was recognized as the USA Volleyball Female Junior Coach of the Year in 2022. Before joining USF, Piantadosi-Lima helped start Eckerd College’s program in 2015 and contributed to its first AVCA national championship win along with two NCAA championship podium finishes.
