South Florida beach volleyball will travel to Atlanta for the GSU Diggin’ Duals tournament hosted by Georgia State University, with matches scheduled for April 3 and April 4.
The event features competition against Mercer University, North Alabama, University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), and host Georgia State. The Bulls are coming off a successful weekend where they recorded two conference wins against UTEP and Sam Houston in their first home matches of the season.
South Florida is set to open play on Friday morning against Mercer before facing Georgia State later that afternoon. On Saturday, the Bulls will meet North Alabama and then close out the weekend with a rematch against UAB. Each dual match will feature five pairs competing simultaneously, with team victories awarded to programs that win at least three of five pairings.
Among recent highlights for South Florida is an ongoing 11-game win streak by Kate Stewart and Tereza Lajkebová as a pair. The team currently holds second place in the Conference USA standings midway through the season. Last weekend, South Florida fell to UAB but looks to rebound during this tournament rematch.
The USF Beach Volleyball program joined Conference USA on July 1, 2025. Pri Piantadosi-Lima was named as South Florida’s first-ever beach volleyball head coach in June 2023. She also leads USAV Beach and serves as national team development program head coach.
