The City of Tampa is set to hold its annual Pride Flag Raising Ceremony on Thursday, June 12, at 8:30 a.m. The event will take place outside Old City Hall located at 315 E Kennedy Blvd. This ceremony is part of the city’s recognition of Pride Month and aims to honor the contributions made by Tampa’s LGBTQ+ community.
Mayor Jane Castor will participate in the event alongside City Council Chairman Alan Clendenin, city staff, and community supporters. The ceremony serves as a reflection on the history of Pride and emphasizes the importance of ensuring that everyone feels safe, respected, and welcomed in Tampa.
