Tampa police investigate fatal shooting on Adamo Drive

The Tampa Police Department is currently investigating a homicide following a shooting incident that occurred early this morning. Officers responded to the 6800 block of Adamo Drive at 3:01 am after receiving reports of shots fired.

Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered an adult male in his early thirties who had sustained upper body trauma. The individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary findings from the investigation suggest that an altercation took place before the shooting, and it has been confirmed that both parties involved were acquainted with each other.

The shooter, identified as an adult male, is cooperating with authorities as the investigation continues. Further details will be disclosed as they become available.
