Tampa police and FBI investigate bank robbery on W. Neptune St

The Tampa Police Department, working with the FBI, is currently investigating a bank robbery that took place this morning on the 4000 block of W. Neptune St. The incident occurred around 9:20 a.m.

According to authorities, the suspect is described as a male wearing several layers of clothing, including a dark-colored hoodie, jeans, gloves, and had his face obscured by a white bandana and sunglasses.

Police report that the suspect approached a bank teller and implied he was armed, although no weapon was visible. After demanding money, he left the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Witnesses last saw the suspect leaving on an e-bike and possibly heading northbound from the area.

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding this case to reach out to Tampa Police at 813-231-6130 or provide tips through Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay at 1-800-873-TIPS. They request that callers reference case number: 25-328975.

The investigation remains active, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
