The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced their 2026 schedule on May 18, revealing three prime-time games for the upcoming season. The team will face the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football in Week Five, play the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football in Week Nine, and meet the Carolina Panthers on Monday Night Football in Week Twelve. The Buccaneers’ bye week falls after their game against the Bears, and they will host three consecutive home games from Weeks Two to Four.
The release of the new schedule is significant for fans and players as it outlines key matchups and travel periods for the season. With multiple prime-time appearances, Tampa Bay is positioned to gain national attention throughout the year.
In addition to football news, quarterback Baker Mayfield will be featured in Season Three of Netflix’s docuseries “Quarterback.” The show premieres July 14 and includes Jayden Daniels, Cam Ward, and Joe Flacco alongside Mayfield. It will offer viewers a behind-the-scenes look at Mayfield’s experience during the Bucs’ 2025 season when he passed for 3,693 yards and scored 26 touchdowns. The series aims to showcase both challenges and successes faced by NFL quarterbacks.
Rookie Rueben Bain Jr. has also been recognized for his efforts off the field. Bain visited Lorah Park Elementary School to fund a newly reimagined “reward room” designed for students who excel academically. He surprised students with amenities such as air hockey, ping pong tables, and Giant Jenga sets. Additionally, Bain partnered with Sprayground to provide backpacks, art supplies, and science equipment to enhance learning opportunities at his former school.
These developments highlight both athletic achievements within the team as well as ongoing community engagement efforts led by players.
