STCOC Education Committee | Virtual on September 16, 2021

South Tampa Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

The STCOC Education Committee strives to bring our community and schools together by acting as a liaison between the business and education community. This committee provides chamber members the opportunity to connect with and give back to our local area schools through advocacy and volunteer initiatives.

Dr. Stacy Hahn

District 2 | Vice Chair

Hillsborough County School Board

Dr. Stacy Hahn was elected to the Hillsborough County School Board, representing District 2, in 2018. She is one of seven members responsible for making policy decisions and overseeing a total budget of $3.3 billion for the 7th largest school district in the nation, which is also the county’s largest employer with more than 24,000 employees.

Dr. Hahn is a graduate of the University of Florida where she earned a PhD in Early Childhood & Special Education. She is a professional educator and her career spans more than two decades with positions at every level of the K-20 spectrum, including: public school teacher, advocate, grant facilitator, professional development director, educational researcher, and university professor.

The South Tampa Education Committee meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 3:00pm.

Location:

Committee Meetings will take place virtually via ZOOM until further notice. Please pre-register to receive the ZOOM link. 

Fees/Admission

There is no fee to attend this meeting. Committee meetings are open to current members of the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce only.
