The University of South Florida men’s basketball team secured a 97–83 win over Tulane in New Orleans on Wednesday night, marking their third consecutive American Athletic Conference victory by a margin of at least 13 points.

Wes Enis led all scorers with 25 points and achieved his 40th made three-pointer for the month, the highest total among Division I players. He is currently ranked seventh nationally in made three-pointers this season. Enis has also recorded six games with five or more three-pointers and became the sixth player in program history to post three or more 30-point performances in a single season.

Joseph Pinion contributed 17 points, while Izaiyah Nelson posted his 15th double-double of the season with 11 points and 12 rebounds. CJ Brown and Adriel Nyorha each added 10 points, with Nyorha also providing four assists off the bench.

South Florida started strong, taking an early lead before Tulane tied the game at 6–6. After briefly falling behind, the Bulls responded quickly and built a seven-point advantage at 36–29 through aggressive drives from Josh Omojafo and CJ Brown as well as inside play from Nelson. During one stretch late in the first half, Tulane was held scoreless for over four minutes while South Florida extended its lead. The Bulls finished the first half shooting 57 percent from the field and entered halftime ahead by a score of 52–39.

“Defensively, Enis and the Bulls held American Conference preseason Player of the Year Rowan Brumbaugh scoreless for the first 17:13 of the game, limiting Tulane’s leading scorer, rebounder, and assist leader early,” according to USF Men’s Basketball.

In the second half, South Florida maintained control. By just over two minutes into play after halftime, they had established a significant edge in second-chance points (15–1), continuing to out-rebound Tulane on both ends of the court. The Bulls ultimately finished with 38 rebounds and scored 42 points in the paint.

The win marks South Florida’s third straight conference victory by double digits following previous wins against UAB and Florida Atlantic. The team has now scored at least 90 points in eleven games this season—a figure that ties them for second-most among Division I teams.

Five South Florida players reached double figures: Wes Enis, Joseph Pinion, Izaiyah Nelson, CJ Brown, and Adriel Nyorha. The team collected a total of 48 rebounds (17 offensive), which leads all teams in their conference for combined rebounds per game.

South Florida will next face Temple University on Saturday at Philadelphia’s Liacouras Center; tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m., with television coverage on ESPN2 and radio broadcast via Bulls Unlimited.
