Kathy Castor, a U.S. Representative for Florida’s 14th District since 2007, voiced her concerns and events through a series of tweets on April 8, 2025. These tweets covered topics ranging from political critiques to community engagement initiatives and expressions of support for a medical institution in her district.

On April 8, 2025, Castor criticized President Trump and Congressional Republicans by stating, “President Trump is going rogue and Congressional Republicans weakness is hurting American families.”

Later that day, she invited constituents to a Town Hall meeting through a tweet that read, “Join me for a Town Hall Event! TUESDAY, APRIL 15TH 5:30-6:30pm RSVP REQUIRED: https://t.co/Zna0t85pNu”

Additionally, Castor commended the University of South Florida’s Morsani College of Medicine, applauding their achievements by tweeting, “Outstanding @USFHealthMed! @USFHealth Morsani College of Medicine’s talented students and faculty are on the cutting edge of modern research, cures and treatments. You could say that top ranking is even more impressive than a basketball championship “
