U.S. Representative Kathy Castor, currently serving Florida’s 14th district in Congress, has voiced her concerns regarding healthcare accessibility and affordability through a series of tweets on May 12, 2025.

In her first tweet, Castor expressed that “All Americans want is accessible, affordable health care. All Congressional Republicans want is to make sure that doesn’t happen.” This statement underscores her position on the ongoing debate over healthcare policy.

Later that day, she posted a tweet featuring multiple alarm emojis without additional context: “”. The tweet included a link but did not elaborate further on its message or intention.

Concluding her commentary for the day, Castor tweeted about protecting Medicaid from potential legislative changes. She urged vigilance among citizens by stating: “It’s time to stand up and stand firm to protect Medicaid from Congressional Republicans. Make sure your families, your friends and your neighbors know what Congressional Republicans and President Trump want to do to their health care.”

Kathy Castor has served in Congress since 2007 after replacing Jim Davis. Born in Miami in 1966 and residing in Tampa, she holds degrees from Emory University and Florida State University.
