U.S. Representative Kathy Castor, who has been serving Florida’s 14th district since 2007, recently expressed her concerns on social media regarding healthcare and energy policies under the Trump administration. Her tweets reflect a critical stance towards current political actions affecting Medicaid, healthcare access, and energy costs.
On July 2, 2025, Rep. Castor tweeted about the importance of saving Medicaid and healthcare services. She urged action with hashtags “#SaveMedicaid #SaveHealthCare #SaveLives”.
The following day, July 3, she criticized President Trump and Congressional Republicans for what she described as “looting our country.” In her tweet, she claimed they were “stealing your health care” and increasing financial burdens on citizens by raising electric bills and eliminating Pell grants to benefit their own wealth “all for THEIR wealth.”
Later that day, Castor further condemned the administration’s policies in favor of Big Oil and Gas companies. She argued these decisions resulted in increased electric bills for everyone “EVERYONE gets a higher electric bill!”
