U.S. Representative Kathy Castor, who has been serving Florida’s 14th district since 2007, recently took to social media to express her views on various political issues. Known for her direct approach, Castor did not hold back in her criticism.

On March 26, 2025, Castor criticized Pete Hegseth by stating “He was never qualified to begin with. Pete Hegseth should resign.”

Later that day, she commented on the role of the Department of Education and former President Trump’s understanding of it. She stated “The Department of Education brings opportunities to our students and our teachers. Trump knows nothing about the hard work of our teachers and how critical they are to our children’s pathway to success in life.”

In another post from March 26, 2025, Rep. Castor criticized a Republican bill that she believes would negatively impact small businesses and increase living costs. She asserted that “Lower costs? Republicans have never heard of them! Their latest bill will force our cherished small businesses to spend more and increase the cost of living. Want to ask them about it? That’s right, you can’t! They won’t answer their phones, hold a town hall or be accessible.”
