U.S. Representative Kathy Castor, who has been serving Florida’s 14th district since 2007, shared her perspectives on current political issues through a series of tweets on May 14, 2025. Castor, who succeeded Jim Davis in Congress and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives, expressed her views on healthcare, economic strategy, and ongoing legislative efforts.

In a tweet posted at 00:10:43 UTC, Castor criticized President Trump and Congressional Republicans for their approach to several key issues. She listed items such as “No affordable health care,” “No affordable electric bills,” and “No economic strategy that helps American families” while asserting that there are “No lower costs for regular people, just profits for billionaires.”

Later that morning at 10:07:16 UTC, Castor addressed efforts by Democrats within the Energy and Commerce Committee to counteract what she described as “cruel cuts to health care” proposed by President Trump and Congressional Republicans.
