U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor, who represents Florida’s 14th district in Congress, recently addressed a range of issues on her social media account, including economic concerns in Tampa Bay and international developments in Hungary.

On April 10, 2026, Castor commented on the current economic situation affecting her constituents: “The affordability squeeze happening right now is a disservice to the hardworking people in Tampa Bay, and it’s a result of choices being made by Republicans. Thank you to the neighbors that told their stories last night—I’ll be carrying them with me to fight for you in D.C.”

Later that day, she posted an emoji-filled message without additional commentary: “” (April 11, 2026).

On April 13, 2026, Castor praised political developments abroad: ” to the people of Hungary voting for democracy and freedom + rejecting corruption, authoritarianism and Putin’s influence!!”

Castor has represented Florida’s 14th District since replacing Jim Davis in 2007. She previously served in the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Miami in 1966 and currently residing in Tampa, Castor holds degrees from Emory University and Florida State University.
