The 2026 Panini Senior Bowl is set to take place in Mobile, Alabama, offering over 100 college football players an opportunity to showcase their skills in front of NFL scouts. The event will be held at the University of South Alabama’s Hancock Whitney Stadium, with practices scheduled from January 27 through January 29 and the main game on Sunday, January 31 at 2:30 p.m.
The Senior Bowl features two squads: the National Team and the American Team. Each team consists of players from a variety of colleges across the country.
The National Team roster includes quarterbacks Diego Pavia (Vanderbilt), Cole Payton (North Dakota State), and Sawyer Robinson (Baylor). Running backs such as Kaytron Allen and Nick Singleton from Penn State are also featured. Wide receivers on this squad include Vinny Anthony II (Wisconsin) and Romello Brinson (SMU), among others. The team has a mix of offensive linemen, defensive tackles, defensive ends, linebackers, cornerbacks, safeties, as well as specialists like kicker Drew Stevens (Iowa), punter Ryan Eckly (Michigan State), and long snapper Luke Basso (Oregon).
The American Team is led by quarterbacks Luke Altmyer (Illinois), Taylen Green (Arkansas), and Garrett Nussmeier (LSU). Running backs include Kaelon Black (Indiana) and Jaydn Ott (Oklahoma). Among wide receivers are Cyrus Allen (Cincinnati) and Aaron Anderson (LSU). This team also has its share of offensive linemen, defensive tackles, defensive ends, linebackers, cornerbacks, safeties, along with kicker William Ferrin (BYU), punter Brett Thorson (Georgia), and long snapper Beau Gardner (Georgia).
The Senior Bowl serves as a key evaluation period for NFL hopefuls ahead of the draft. Scouts from all teams attend practices throughout the week to assess player performance both during drills and in live-game situations.
“This is an important week for these athletes,” said a spokesperson for the event. “They have a chance to prove themselves against top competition.”
Players were selected based on their performances during their college careers and recommendations from coaches and scouts.
