On April 10, 2025, Congresswoman Lee expressed her approval of Representative Elise Stefanik’s return to House leadership as House Republican Leadership Chairwoman. In her statement, Lee affirmed, “I’m happy to see @RepStefanik back in House leadership as House Republican Leadership Chairwoman. Laurel Lee, born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1974, has been serving in Congress since 2023 after replacing Scott Franklin. Prior to her current role, she served in the Florida House of Representatives. Lee is an alumna of the University of Florida, where she earned both her undergraduate degree in 1996 and her Juris Doctor in 1999.
