Congresswoman Laurel Lee, representing Florida’s 15th district, shared multiple updates on social media on April 10 and 11, 2025. In her tweets, Lee discussed various topics including House leadership and issues of legislative concern reflecting her current work and advocacy in Congress.

On April 10, 2025, Congresswoman Lee expressed her approval of Representative Elise Stefanik’s return to House leadership as House Republican Leadership Chairwoman. In her statement, Lee affirmed, “I’m happy to see @RepStefanik back in House leadership as House Republican Leadership Chairwoman. Together we will deliver on President @realdonaldtrump’s promise to the American people by passing his America First agenda in Congress!”

Later on the same day, Lee addressed the subject of deepfakes, voicing her concern about their potential impact. In a statement acknowledging Brooke’s efforts to highlight this issue, Lee was quoted as saying, “Deepfakes have the potential to cause harm to individuals and their image. I am proud of Brooke for sharing her story and for bringing attention to this issue. @HouseCommerce passed legislation out of Committee that will criminalize the publication of non-consensual, sexually”.

On April 11, 2025, Lee reminded Florida’s 15th district students about the deadline for the 2025 Congressional Art Competition. In her call to action, Lee mentioned, ” #FL15 students—TODAY is your last chance to submit an original piece of artwork for the 2025 Congressional Art Competition. Laurel Lee, born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1974, has been serving in Congress since 2023 after replacing Scott Franklin. Prior to her current role, she served in the Florida House of Representatives. Lee is an alumna of the University of Florida, where she earned both her undergraduate degree in 1996 and her Juris Doctor in 1999.
