Jamel Dean led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ cornerback group in 2025, recording 660 snaps and allowing the lowest passer rating when targeted among NFL cornerbacks with at least 35 defensive targets, according to NextGen Stats (41.3). He also posted the second-lowest completion percentage allowed (43.1%) in that category. Despite missing time due to a shoulder injury, Dean was effective when on the field.
Zyon McCollum played 766 snaps before suffering a hip injury in Week 15 against the Falcons, which placed him on injured reserve for the final three games of the season. McCollum recorded one interception, six passes defensed, 65 combined tackles, and a tackle for loss. His athleticism allowed him to close quickly on plays from zone coverage.
Jacob Parrish, a third-round draft pick, became Tampa Bay’s primary nickel cornerback and played 746 snaps during his rookie season. He demonstrated versatility by playing both inside and outside roles and contributed two interceptions, seven passes defensed, two sacks, 76 combined tackles, seven tackles for loss, and three quarterback hits.
Benjamin Morrison joined as a second-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and saw increased playing time after injuries sidelined Dean and McCollum. Morrison participated in 359 snaps and registered four passes defensed, a fumble recovery, 26 combined tackles, and two tackles for loss.
Looking ahead to the 2026 season, Zyon McCollum signed an extension before the start of last year while Jamel Dean and Kindle Vildor are set to become free agents in March. Vildor appeared in 164 snaps this past season. The Buccaneers are expected to address depth at cornerback through free agency or the draft.
