Antoine Winfield Jr., safety for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, played a key role in the NFC’s 66-52 victory over the AFC during the 2026 Pro Bowl Flag Football Game. With four minutes remaining, Winfield intercepted a pass from Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, which shifted momentum to the NFC team. The interception occurred as the AFC was trailing by eight points and moving down the field.

Winfield’s performance earned him Defensive MVP honors. “With 24 seconds left, Eagles’ Jalen Hurts connected with Cowboys’ CeeDee Lamb for the score. Winfield won defensive MVP honors for his timely interception, while Cowboys’ George Pickens snagged offensive MVP,” according to the event summary.

The NFC team, led by Jerry Rice, overcame an 18-point deficit during the game. Winfield’s interception came after Ja’Marr Chase failed to secure a catch, allowing Winfield to make a one-handed grab that put his team back on track. His play helped seal the comeback win for the NFC squad.
